We rely on our volunteers to help run our services. We currently have about fifty active volunteers, but we are always looking for new people to join us!
We are in urgent need of volunteers to help with the following areas of work:
- To help out in our Charity Shop. As well as fundraising for the over 60’s living in Middleton, the shop provides low-cost clothing, baby and child equipment, and household items. The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm. Shift patterns are flexible – please contact our Shop Manager, on 0113 2713999 if you are interested.
- To lend a hand in our Social Centre making cups of tea, serving lunches and chatting to our members (particularly between 9.00am – 1.30pm Mondays to Friday).
- We need delivery drivers to deliver our meals to our members. The hours would be Monday – Friday 12.00-1.00 would need a DBS check.

Volunteer with us and make a difference in the lives of the over 60’s in our community. This is a chance to put something back into your community, to meet others and to gain experience. Volunteering at Middleton Elderly Aid can be challenging, fun and rewarding.
We provide any necessary training. For some volunteering opportunities DBS (CRB) checks are required.
