Exercise is important for staying fit and healthy. Middleton Elderly Aid runs a number of classes through the week:
Monday: Dancersise Class – 1.30 – 2.30
Tuesday: Beginners Line Dancing – 2:00 – 3:30/ Walking Group 1.30-3.30
Thursday: Ping Pong – 9:30 – 10:30/ Walking Group 1.30-3.30
Friday: Chair Based Exercise Class – 1:45 – 2.45
Physical exercise should be continued for as long as possible for people with dementia, as it has been found to have a number of benefits. It can help prevent muscle weakness, mobility problems and other health complications associated with inactivity.
